Who Will Love Our Tours?

We love slow travel and we know you do too, and we’d love to travel with you!

We occasionally run an exclusive tour or two throughout the year to our favorite slow travel destinations likeslow traveling Tuscany, Croatia, or Panama.

Each of our hosted tours are small groups with never more than a dozen guests. And the best part is, you’ll get to explore the lesser-visited places and honest-to-goodnesshidden gems.

In some cases we’ll make a stop or two to busier landmark towns that are worth a visit. Generally however, our tours are known for rural destinations, making connections with locals, and learning about their small farms and businesses.

Many of these growers and artisans still sell their wine, olive oil, food, baskets, bowls, ceramics, and other unique goods directly from their home.

We linger over long lunches and wine tastings, get to know the culture and people along with our fellow slow travelers, and aren’t feeling exhausted when you we home.

What Do You Have to Do?

We plan the itinerary and accompany you on the trip. All you have to do is arrange your transportation and any additional pre- or post-travel you want to do.

What Will You Find Here?

Travlinmad Slow Travel Tours

  • The Living Flavors

Our first slow travel tour in May 2023 was a perfect introduction to the many living flavors of Tuscany. If you missed this tour, don’t worry. We’re planning several upcoming small group tours.

We had such an amazing week exploring and slow traveling Tuscany with a small group of 10 slow travelers.

Here’s just a taste of what we saw and did:

    • Spent our days eating Tuscan food and drinking the world famous Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino wine!

    • Visited 8 local, organic farms — from olive oil and wine, to cheese and irises — and got to know and chat with the growers themselves!

    • Learned to make bread with ancient grains from a local breadmaker!

    • Hiked through rural countryside to an ancient church that dated to the 12th century, capping off the evening with a toast of Vin Santo and fresh-baked cantucci!

    • Learned to make 3 unique types of pasta and foccacia bread from an accomplished local Chef and cookbook author!

    • Toured a cheese farm in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, followed by a cheese tasting and amazing pasta lunch!

    • Went truffle hunting with an expert truffle hunter and his trusty dog who found the black truffles which topped our lunch!

    • Visited an iris farm, the famous symbol of Florence, and learned the art of making reed and willow baskets!

    • Explored the ancient towns of Siena and San Gimignano, and a handful of small hamlets oozing with Italian charm!

    And so much more!
